This detailed geometric design was designed by Vanessa Bell in 1913. As far as we know, 'White' has not been available to buy since the Omega Workshops, a design enterprise co-founded by Bell and artists Duncan Grant and Roger Fry, closed in 1919.

Oil cloth is sold by the metre. Minimum order length is 1 metre.

Technical information

Vanessa Bell (1879–1961) was an artist and member of the Bloomsbury group. During the early 20th century, her works were among the first fully abstract paintings by British artists. Although she is best remembered as a painter, Vanessa was also a prolific designer of textiles, carpets and embroidery, as well as a pioneering decorator of ceramics, furniture and domestic objects – not to mention the interiors themselves. In 1913 she co-founded the design enterprise The Omega Workshops alongside fellow artist Duncan Grant and art critic Roger Fry. She first moved to Charleston in 1916 at the height of the First World War and lived and worked here until her death in 1961.
