One of Duncan Grant’s long-lived interests was in the decoration of ceramics. This began at the Omega workshops in 1913 and continued throughout his life. In 1934 Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant and Angelica Garnett submitted designs for ceramics for an exhibition at Harrods entitled ‘Modern Art for the Table’. There are examples in the Dining Room at Charleston of one of Duncan Grant’s designs, called Poppy . This has been recreated in a limited edition to celebrate 100 years of Bloomsbury at Charleston.
