Product details

Duncan Grant (1885-1978) was an artist who lived and worked here at Charleston. Duncan was born in the same year as The Labouchere Amendment was passed by parliament, criminalising all sex between men regardless of consent. A collection of Duncan Grant's erotic drawings were recently rediscovered. Originally drawn during the 1940s and 50s when sex between men was still illegal in England, these private drawings were previously feared lost. Instead, they were secretly passed down through the queer community, from lover to lover, friend to friend.
