‘West Wind’ was designed by the artist Duncan Grant in 1932. This design featuring the Greek god of the west wind, Zephyr, and a naked goddess covering herself with a cloak is illustrated in Grant's signature expressive style.

Each cover is piped and has a concealed side-seam zip.

Product details

Duncan Grant (1885-1978) was a member of the Bloomsbury group. He was a prolific artist, one of the most celebrated and successful in the mid-twentieth century. Influenced by French Post-Impressionism he experimented in fine art and design. In 1913 he co-founded the design enterprise The Omega Workshops alongside fellow artist Vanessa Bell and art critic Roger Fry. He first moved to Charleston in 1916 at the height of the First World War and lived and worked here until his death in 1978.
