'Abstract' is a fabric designed in 1931 by Vanessa Bell, commissioned by artist and interior designer Allan Walton. The fabric was a favourite of Vanessa’s sister, Virginia Woolf, who used it to upholster armchairs at her Sussex home, Monk’s House.
